Founder of MUSTI Switzerland, Mariola Jarmolowicz about her journey. Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi lovely people. My name is Mariola Jarmolowicz. I am a product designer and founder of MUSTI Switzerland brand. I really adore gaining fresh ideas and showcasing my attention to detail.

It is very important to me to surround myself with timeless, handmade, especially natural items. My big, wood, and self-designed dining table and consola play major roles at my home. Everyone admires them for their quality and natural beauty. My home reminds me a bit of an island style or even a beach house, because of its interiors. I like very much white colors and quite minimalistic spaces combained with rich-wood furniture and some sea treasures.

I mainly work on my projects related to MUSTI Switzerland. Privately, I like slow mornings with a cup of coffee or matcha. In the evenings, I relax with candlelight and jazz in the background. I cherish quality time with loved ones, good company, travelling, cooking… I enjoy eating on a white table near the sea with friends, celebrating the moment, telling stories and sailing boats.

Describe your brand. When you think of MUSTI Switzerland, what comes to your mind?

Nature. Detail. Quality, raw wood beauty, appreciation and desire for artisanship, fine design. A love for island living and sun-light vibe, but also welcoming, inviting space. An intimate gathering with amazing food and relaxed ambiance.

We’ve been following your build for MUSTI Switzerland for some time now. Tell us more about the path that lead you here. How did the journey begin?

The idea started in 2016. I felt a desire to be more creative and to be a boss for myself. Deciding on my own and doing the way I feel it, this was a key. I was even dreaming of some projects, which then I was precisely writing down in a notebook to remember. I often come back to my notes for inspiration and checklist while realising my projects.

In 2021, I decided to create my own brand, meshing my passion for product design and love for hospitality.

It is a diligent, continuous work on weekdays and weekends. However seeing the fruits of it is very satisfying and blessing.

What is your favorite quote or saying?

There are at least a few, but some to name.

One of my work colleagues advised me with this following quote. “If there is nothing that fits you, find the opportunity and create your own position”. Another one, which I really like is: “Keep a place within your heart, for little dreams to go”.

Another, which is well describing my diligence and motivation to work on my projects. “It is quite easy to have a great idea, but to turn that into reality, an implementable program, in a way that it ensures a success requires work and a professional approach, methodology and discipline”.

Advice to aspiring brand creators.

Very simple – follow your heart.
